The Energy Analysis and Policy program places great value in building connections among our students, faculty, and energy professionals. During our networking trips, students and faculty learn through interactions with energy leaders from a diversity of organizations as well as build community with one another.
In Fall 2022, the EAP program held its first networking trip to Milwaukee, which included visits with Johnson Controls, Artisan Partners, and the City of Milwaukee’s Environmental Collaboration Office. See highlights from the 2022 trip to Milwaukee here. The trip was such a success, that we plan to make this an annual Fall trip for our program!
In Spring 2023, the EAP program is resuming its annual Spring networking trip to Chicago. This trip was canceled from 2020-2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For all trips, full or majority funding is provided by the EAP program, with generous support from private donors and corporate sponsors. If you or your organization would like to sponsor these high-impact experiences for UW-Madison students, please give online here or contact Michael Kamp at mkamp@wisc.edu.
“The trip has transformed my view of career in energy for the better, and allowed me to make connections with different energy professionals.”
