Mikhaila Calice

Mikhaila is an MPA student pursuing the Energy Policy and Analysis concentration through the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Mikhaila received her BA in political science and international studies from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. After graduating in 2015, she worked for an HVAC company in Richmond, Virginia where she initially became interested in the intersection of policy and energy efficiency in service industries. Mikhaila’s current interests involve exploring how policies affecting energy industries are created and communicated to those within the industry and the public. She hopes that her studies will provide her the skills to find the space between communication, the energy industry and government to explore a collaborative approach to policy making. In her spare time, Mikhaila plays roller derby as “Mikki Barrage” for the Mad Rollin’ Dolls recreational team, the Wreckers.
