What is an Innovation Pod?
It is a model framework developed by EAP to leverage our strengths in interdisciplinary research and education. The University of Wisconsin–Madison is a center for collaborative problem solving and innovation pods will find solutions to pressing issues while engaging the next generation of energy leaders. The schematic shows the components of an innovation pod. Each innovation pod will have a budget of $500K per year, with multiple sponsors supporting the pod.
Innovation Pod Themes
We are happy to discuss research partnership on any topic. Two topics already being discussed for innovation pods forming are:
- Climate data applications for infrastructure and planning
- Electric vehicles
We have EAP faculty working on a variety of other topics that could become innovation pod themes with interest from sponsors.
There are many benefits of sponsoring an EAP innovation pod:
- Work with an interdisciplinary team at UW–Madison to advance the energy field and find cutting-edge answers to your real-world questions
- Contribute to the launch of a new course on the topic of the innovation pod
- Be listed as an Innovation Sponsor of EAP’s major energy conference
Thank you for considering sponsorship of an EAP innovation pod! We’d love to talk with you more about partnership opportunities and how we can support your sponsorship goals. Please contact Prof. Tracey Holloway with any questions or ideas – we look forward to talking with you.
