EAP Curriculum Changes to Grow & Strengthen EAP

We are excited to announce changes to the Energy Analysis and Policy curriculum starting Fall 2020, including the creation of an official EAP doctoral minor! These changes were instituted to broaden the EAP community and put a greater emphasis on professional skills and networking. Adding the minor option also allows PhD students to officially use EAP to complete their minor requirements.

The new curriculum consolidates the four breadth categories (Technology, Economics, Policy, Environment) into two (Energy Analysis and Energy Policy) while adding a 1-credit seminar, which has been optional in the past. The Intro (809) and Capstone (810) courses will remain the same. Students who are currently declared and graduating in Fall 2020 or later have the choice of completing either the old or new requirements.

Below is a breakdown of the new requirements. Students may choose EITHER the certificate OR the minor, but not both. A detailed listing of the curriculum and courses that fall under each category can be found here: https://eap.wisc.edu/curriculum/
