In three weeks, the EAP program will be taking part in the excitement of Day of the Badger for the first time! Day of the Badger is a celebration aimed to unite the badger community with a giving event over 1,848 minutes, paying homage to the year UW-Madison was founded. The funds raised support Wisconsin’s educational excellence and further the Wisconsin idea. This year, Day of the Badger is from Tuesday, April 16, at 10:12 a.m. CDT to Wednesday, April 17, at 5 p.m. CDT.
Now, you may be wondering, how can I join the festivities? To start, you can show your badger pride by wearing red and your favorite badger gear during Day of the Badger! Additionally, you can share your badger spirit on social media by using #DayoftheBadger or tagging @uw_eap. Last but not least, you can join the fun by supporting EAP with a gift of any amount – any contribution helps the EAP community grow.
Gifts play a vital role in strengthening the interdisciplinary research and education that defines EAP. For example, the annual networking trip to Chicago, an impactful event for many EAP students, is supported exclusively by philanthropy. The Chicago trip allows students to explore career opportunities within the energy sector and meet potential employers, all the while building the EAP community.
Of note, donors of $250 or more join the EAP Circle of Friends, with special briefings on EAP news and invitations to events with our students and faculty. We hope you’ll celebrate with us this Day of the Badger! Check out the EAP webpage and countdown with the button below:
