Join us for the first EAP Exchange, hosted by the Energy Analysis and Policy program: “What Went Wrong in Texas? Wisconsin Experts Discuss the Recent Devastating Failure of the Energy System.” Sharing their insights on this topic will be:

  • Max Duckworth — Max co-founded MaSa Partners, an impact investment venture that provides capital and advisory services to early-stage companies innovating and disrupting many areas of our lives. Previously, in his “1.0″ career, as he calls it, Max was a senior executive at Constellation Energy, the largest power business in the U.S., where he held a number of commercial leadership roles including Head of Trading, Head of Asset Management, and Co-Head of Commodities. Max has also published several papers on climate change and renewable energy policy.
  • Morgan Edwards — From power plant technology to international energy policy, Dr. Morgan Edwards bring an interdisciplinary expertise to complex energy challenges. An Assistant Professor in the University of Wisconsin–Madison La Follette School of Public Affairs, Morgan recently completed her Ph.D. at MIT and post-doc at the University of Maryland, and she has been recognized with a wide range of awards, including an NSF Fellowship and the MIT Presidential Fellowship.
  • Jonathan Martin — No one knows extreme weather better than Dr. Jon Martin, Professor in the University of Wisconsin–Madison Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. In addition to running an active research group on weather systems, Jon is an award-winning instructor and a local celebrity as one of the “Weather Guys” with regular contributions to Wisconsin Public Radio and the Wisconsin State Journal.
