Learn how to communicate your science clearly and concisely in a way that will resonate with any audience at this hands-on American Geophysical Union (AGU) communications workshop hosted by the Energy Analysis and Policy Program at the University of Wisconsin—Madison in Madison, WI.
At this interactive workshop, you will learn how to communicate science to people in your community, policy makers, and the media, in a relevant, engaging, and memorable way. You will learn how to identify the right group for you to reach out to, how to create an effective message about your research/work, and how to tailor your presentation for a specific audience. You will also learn active listening skills, have the chance to practice public speaking, and receive feedback from communication experts and your peers.
